About Me

Whether it was while working at a milk factory, a mealworm farm, while studying global food systems, or as a rural sociologist, I have always been interested in food. Food with its cultural context, its grand revolution into mass production and how it travels across the planet connecting different places, people, and cultures. As part of a generation growing up in the 21st century, the precarity of our current food system has become painfully clear to me. Questioning and imagining the future of our food has become more relevant than ever.

Here in Nográd, I have found a space where I can interact with food in a very practical and physical way while enabling ourselves to participate in the future of food as a whole. I have found that learning practical skills that are culturally layered and rooted in local practices can provide you with a sense of reconnection, agency, and care with everything that makes up our food. From human to the more-than-human. In my opinion, it is exactly that reconnection and care that can become the foundation of a global food system more sustaining of life.

At Terra, I am responsible for the design and maintenance of the no-dig garden and the LAB. I take care of our animals, and I facilitate the fermentation and gardening workshops.
